I am sure that I do not need to go through the press headlines of the past week relating Mr Green to Mr Whyte. Sadly, as I have feared for some time, there appears to be a correlation between the two parties that has become somewhat exposed. Even at its most minimal of contact the relationship is enough to infer that Charles Green has lied to the Rangers support.
So where do Rangers really stand, where does league reconstruction take us and where is Scottish Football really going?
It has been a long time since I have written anything on this page. At present, I am far too busy to write anything other than my own research – something that sadly falls out with the walls of Scottish Football. However, as my concentration has completely gone I felt I may as well talk about some recent developments in Scottish Football.
First of all, let us address Hearts and their situation as this is clearly the biggest story in Scottish Football at present. Sadly it does not look good for Hearts at this present time. The club may owe a debt to HMRC that could see them facing imminent administration but for me, that is nothing short of the tip on a very large iceberg. The club owe sums of money in the region of £30 million to Romanov’s parent company. To be rather blunt, that is the debt that Hearts fans should be more worried about.
The ‘no to newco’ campaign is now well and truly in full force with fans of all SPL club clamouring the see a ‘newco’ Rangers ousted from the top tier of Scottish Football and to the bottom of the professional leagues: all in the name of ‘sporting integrity’ of course. Pffft
It would appear that in recent days there has been some form of explosion on twitter and fans sites regarding the new blog aptly named ‘Celtic Tax Case’.
I will admit, i first of all fell into the trap of thinking that this website was going to entail a serious attempt to look at financial issues at Celtic (such as the well known attendance figures scam that it is safe to say has been used by many a football club over the years).
My first reaction was, “Oh no! I hope this isn’t some desperate fan that is going to make an arse of themselves” followed by, ” but let’s see what they come up with anyway”.
All of those thought were indeed before the first blog was actually published.
Now, having had an opportunity to read the blog i feel the need to commend the author on what is a brilliant parody, bringing some light relief to what has thus far been a tedious journey of legal puke on our doorsteps every day.
My own thoughts have been recently that the Rangers ‘Tax case’ and administration situation has been a bit like watching formula 1 on the T.V. An explosive start followed by lap after lap of boring pish. You would be as well turning it off and tuning back in for the final few laps again when things might get moderately exciting.
So well done to that person. My own thoughts is that it is most likely a Celtic fan trolling but I really couldn’t care less. The fact is simple: it’s a funny website.
A dark day has fallen over Ibrox stadium – aptly named, it would appear, as Castle Grey skull by many opposing fans.
The Rangers faithful today awoke to the stark horror that their club chairman, Mr Craig Whyte has perhaps sold their club down the drain.
The revelation that the club has mortgaged future season ticket cash to the tune of approx. £20million has appeared, for the first time, in the mainstream press. Not to mention a suggestion that the V.A.T. on such has been subsequently avoided.
This story will be of absolutely no surprise to those that have read either my own, or many of the other Rangers football club related blogs on the internet. In fact, one quick browse at the expense of only a couple of pounds and you could have been privy to such information – or at least the intent of such, as far back as last summer.
The breaking of such news in the mainstream press was, to say the least, a surprise to most – blogging away on the matter as a hobby. Personally: I was not too surprised. (more…)
